I've been working at Global Textware for quite some time now and it still suits me just fine. I've moved directly from the lecture-hall of the University of Groningen to my desk and started working in a very sociable team of translators and project managers.

I studied English (and Frisian) at the University of Groningen and I mainly focused on literature and literary translations there. At Global Textware we do not translate literature, but we do encounter all-in-one printers, Track Type Skidders, tractors, codes of conduct, tracheo canules, security cameras and anti virus scanners, which is quite an extensive collection of subjects.

In addition to my work I mainly keep busy with my hobbies such as dancing, playing tennis, reading, playing piano, collecting comics, and watching films/TV. Naturally, I also try to spend a lot of time with family and friends. I love to travel and because my brother moved to Denmark, I try to go abroad at least twice a year. This is also the reason why I'm planning to learn the Danish language (some day). This will hopefully also be an advantage in my work as a translator.
