I've just started working for Global Textware and so far it suits me just fine. Although it took a little getting used to, sitting behind a desk 8 hours a day, the transition from University to the office is less difficult then I thought it would be. I studied English (and Frisian) at the University of Groningen and although I was interested in IT, I mainly focused on literature and literary translations. At Global textware I've mainly handled user guides for printers. I've already been referring to them as "my printers". Colleagues soon formed the image of me, standing in the printer department of the "Media markt": "Mine, all mine!!!"

In addition to my work I mainly keep busy with my hobbies such as dancing, playing tennis, reading, playing piano, collecting comics, and watching films/TV. Naturally, I also try to spend some time with my boyfriend (we just moved in to our new appartment), family and friends. I love to travel and because my brother moved to Denmark three years ago, I try to go abroad at least twice a year. This is also the reason why I'm planning to learn the Danish language (some day). This will hopefully also be an advantage in my work as a translator.
