Translation is a wonderful job

It is a trade in which both head and hands are used.The translator serves as an intermediary between writer and audience, between a company and its client, between two companies, or between two colleagues. In short: the translator mediates and makes sure one party gets the other party's message. With this in mind, and a degree in German in my pocket, I started a career in translation which lead, among other things, to Global textware's foundation.

In addition to a high level of proficiency in their language(s) of choice, a translator also needs some less tangible skills, such as analytical thought and the ability to draw conclusions, as well as solution-oriented reasoning. The combination of language and image and the ability to convert language into logically connected images are also of critical importance to a translator. These allow one to translate coherently - to see the bigger picture and how its parts relate to one another.

To me, the most enjoyable aspect to my work is the combination of language and people. On the one hand, I have a linguist's mind; on the other hand, I enjoy collaborating with others, to make joint effort to accomplish something to be proud of. In this process, the journey is as important as the destination. While it is very satisfying to achieve a good result, the experience is even more joyful when the journey towards success is also fulfilling.
