Lieke Huits

I was born in Sittard in 1986, grew up in Amersfoort and studied in Groningen. I still live here and am working at Global textware since march 2011.  I hope to become the German specialist.

I studied German language and culture at the University of Groningen. My final project was about the poet Johannes R. Becher, who wrote the lyrics of the national anthem of the GDR, Auferstanden aus Ruinen, and was minister of culture between 1954 and 1958. The combination of culture and the developments in the socialist era turned out to be very fascinating.

I really enjoy thinking about how to produce clear texts that sound good, and learn about various themes at the same time. It's a nice feeling to be 'in the text'.

My passions are running, long distances, but not too long, because my feet aren't happy with that. I also play the hobo in a little youth orchestra too. Next to that, I'm interested in literature and different kinds of sports and I like being outside and with my family.
