I was born (in 1975) and raised in Groningen and have been working for Global textware (formerly known as LINE UP textware) since November, 2000. Throughout the years a lot has changed, but I have always enjoyed doing the work we do and I still do. Thankfully I also have lovely colleagues, which also keeps the work fun and interesting. My job consists of translating and proofing texts, but I also spend a lot of time managing projects like Sony and Google.
Before I started working for Global textware, I studied English at the Rijksuniversiteit in Groningen, alongside a degree in Medieval Studies. During my third year at university I went to Lancaster University in England for a year to study English, something I enjoyed so much that I returned there for a 2-year postgraduate degree in Medieval Studies (1998-2000). After returning to Groningen in September of 2000, I started my job at Global textware.
In my free time I love watching movies (on TV, DVD and in the cinema), reading books (mainly fantasy and detective novels in English) and listening to music (mainly rock music with lots of guitars). I also try to go to the gym twice a week (I don't know if that qualifies as a hobby, but it is certainly a necessity). Apart from that, I enjoy travelling (often to the United Kingdom to visit my friends, but also to places like Egypt, Italy, etc.).
